My Romanian friends do not recognize “Liubi” as meaning anything. The word they say means “I love you” in Romanian is “Iubi”. Can anyone explain this difference? Is “Liubi” not in Romanian?

‘Liubi’ is not Romanian, is Russian. It means (I think) ‘love’ or ‘lover’. I love you in Romanian is ‘Te iubesc’, in Russian is “Ya tibia liubliu”.
