Eurovision 2006 – Tornero

Mihai Traistariu will represent Romania with the uptempo song ‘Tornero‘. After two Semi Finals, Romania selected its 2006 Eurovision Song Contest representative in a stunning Final on 26 February. 12 contestants took part, the winner was chosen by televoters and an expert jury (50% / 50%).
Mihai Traistariu received 12 points from the jury and 10 points from the televoters. Second – with 2 points less – came Akcent ft. Nico with ‘Jokero’, third came Dora with the song ‘Brand new feeling’ (13 points).
Mihai Trăistariu, special guest at the Greek selection contest
Mihai Trăistariu, the Romanian representative at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, has been invited to perform at the Greek selection contest.
Dan Manoliu, Head of the Romanian Delegation, received the invitation for Mihai to sing ‘Tornero’, the Romanian entry, on the show. The Greek contest was broadcast live by ERT-SAT TV on Tuesday, 14 March at 10pm (Greek time).
