Dacia Logan MCV: space, versatility and value for money
Topic: Auto, Economy (Nov 2, 2006)
Two years after the introduction of Logan, which has already achieved sales in excess of 300,000 cars, Dacia is to extend its range with the launch of Logan MCV (Multi Convivial Vehicle).
Logan MCV is an extremely spacious estate with a large load capacity that comes with all the acclaimed strengths of Logan Saloon plus a modular interior layout and enhanced versatility.
The new model can seat up to seven adult passengers and shakes up the estate vehicle market in the same way that Logan revolutionized the world of family saloons.
Following its unveiling at the Paris Motor Show, Logan MCV will go on sale from October 2006 in Romania and from early 2007 in Dacia`s other major European markets. The new Logan MCV will be sold at prices ranging from 8,200 euro to 11,600 euro DDP. The MCV model will be followed by an utility one in 2007.
The first Logan MCV ad in Romania
Like the saloon version, its powerplant range includes the 1.5 dCi diesel engine, a genuine benchmark in the realms of driving pleasure and fuel consumption.
The car also comes with a three-year or 100,000km warranty (in most European Union countries).
In perfect keeping with the Logan spirit, its price range represents incomparable value for its specification.
Simple and modern: Logan’s hallmarks
A simple, robust design inherited from the saloon version
Like Logan Saloon, Logan MCV has been developed to cover a broad variety of often extreme motoring conditions and uses. Its technical specification was guided by a bid for strength and simplicity, as illustrated by the one-piece dashboard of the saloon version which has been carried over to the estate with a view to eliminating assembly play and ensuring first class durability.
The door panels are also made from a single piece, while the choice of materials and fabrics has been dictated by the desire to reinforce the notion of perceived quality and robustness already associated with Logan Saloon.

Yes, I want one. Looks perfect for our 2-adults and 4-kids family, not to mention our tight budget.

Totally agree with Tim Black’s comment – having a family of six as well. Looks like an excellent VFM car, particularly if the starting price will be under 6K as suggested by some websites. The sooner it comes to the UK (Renault Logan?) the better !

The Logan (saloon) has been on sale here in Spain, where I live, for nearly two years. It is sold through Renault dealers but badged as Dacia. Price from about 5.25K to 7.25K (Pounds) before adding air conditioning, metallic paint or a CD player. My guess is 7K to 9K for the MCV, maybe 0.8K more with the air-con, etc. So cheap but not under 6K. Strangely, I have seen very few on the roads here. Possibly because the Korean brands price very aggressively here too, and the air-con comes as standard!
You should see the brilliant Logan TV adverts. They are at http://www.dacia-logan.com.es/es/DaciaSITe/news/videos/index.html

I`m a woman, so you cannot even imagine how hard it is for me to wait until April 2007 when Logan MPV is coming in Croatia !
Why cannot it be sooner ?
And I must add that it is pity that Logan Stepe is just a concept not a reality !
